I may cross the barrier one night,
Sitting peacefully in my car
As if a sleep.
But if I am on my deathbed,
Fading slowly,
Will you sit nearby,
In silence if you like,
Yet please do one of your imitations,
That like reddish light
Piercing the fog,
Like the lowest bass note
Plunging to the bottom an oceanic chasm,
Will reach my feeble, yet beating heart,
That I may leave this crazy, crazy world,
Laughing.
